New t3/t4 turbo Help

Bought my 1g with a bad t3/t4 turbo...about to put a new one on this weekend...I have read through this forum quite a bit and gone thru my car from top to bottom starting with all of your stage 0 mods for free horsepower Cars already set up with new fuel pump, bigger injectors, and fm intercooler...anything else i might need to keep this turbo running good on the car? Oh and engine and trans were rebuilt and beefed up before i bought it so i dont see any issues with that. I can post pics of the install and of the car later...but anyone have any thoughts????

Maybe check the oiling requirements for the new turbo, you might need a restricter or to get oil from a different location.

Oils fine...but car is now running horribly. doesnt wanna idle and has no power till around 2500 rpm. Im going through it today to check for any exhaust leaks or maybe check the MAP....dunno

When you say bigger injectors, how big? Bigger than 550 you need a tuning program.

Might need to check and see if your mass airflow sensor is plugged in and working.

Check your base timing. And like said above if you have bigger than 550's, you have got to have a fuel controller.

Thanx for all of the replies...im gonna check my injectors tonight and see where to go from there. Just rebuilt my exhaust, old one was horrible...but found out that I have a different wiring harness from another year of dsm on my car ### i found the connections for the auto trans (mines a manual) and my new o2 sensor wont fit so I need to find out how to run a new one. Also I found out I dont even have a knock sensor in my car at all!!!!! ...so im ordering one of those today. But with the rebuilt exhuast and a couple of re run vacuum lines it is running just a little bit better but no where close to what it could be and Im sure with the new knock sensor it will help a bunch, I just really feel like its not getting enough fuel so maybe just a good tune is all i need...anyone know any good tune shops around the tucson, AZ area?

Once again thanx for all the replies and any additional help would be great! I am new to the dsm world so pls dont beat me up to bad if any of this is wrong.

When you say t3/t4 turbo what trim are you talking about and which company? Whenever somebody says t3/t4 I hear ebay turbo in my head. It is hard to know what size injector you need if you don't know what turbo is going on your car and what your power goals are.

Do U have a wide band,datalogger, or any tuning device because I wouldn't drive it or anything untill you figure out What injectors you have and check for boost leaks.

If you are putting in a bigger turbo along with larger injectors i would strongly recomend either getting ecmlink or a piggy back to manage your air/fuel trims. I learned this the hard way when i blew my motor Now my advice to anyone wanting to mod their cars, start with ecmlink before wasting money on any bolt on parts. It may cost more but do it right the first time.

Hey how much power do you eventually want to put down? If you're going to get injectors big enough to yield a piggy back system you might as well go big i.e 660 cc + I see you have a gsx? take advantage of it
