egt gauge
ported mani

Buschur

SAFC II
Walbro 255

Greddy TT

I just wanted to let everyone know what I thought of my new stuff. So far I am still tuning the SAFC but the 16g is great, boost comes on around 3200 and hits full boost by around 4k (not sure about this yet to many new things to watch for!!).

I will post my SAFC Setting later this weekend after a little more tunning.

Cant wait to get it tuned in and mess with the some stangs and camaros and maybe even a civic if I dare

Thats cool. Thats the same setup Im probably going to go with, with my turbo car. Cant wait to see the results! :thumb:

I hit full boost at 3000 on the dot, with just a little bit of tuning via DSM Link. I also run their cast manifold and love it. Spools up equally as quick as my 14b I had on before it.

Like I said above the rpm range was just an estimate, I havent had much of a chance to watch just the tach. I have been watching mostly my EGT's and my A/F ration guage to make sure that I am on the right track with the SAFC II. I thought that my estimate was close but I will confirm tonight, I plan on doing a lot of tuning tonight and some playing. But the turbo feels good and I dont think that I have any boost leaks.

One ? though, does it matter if you are in 2nd at say 2300 rpm's and stomp it verses doing a quarter run as far as what rpm the turbo will spool at. Or should it spool the same no matter what situation you are in.

For example stomping it a 2500 vs taking off (without reving) and going straight to full throtlle. will boost build up any quicker either way or should it be the same?

yes its diffrent if you go from a stop then if you just floor it in a gear. since you are shifting at a higher rpm, the gear your going into will be at a higher rpm, thus you will build boost much quicker, then if you just floor it at 2500rpm's also i had a unported but clipped big 16g with a ported mani and half ported 1g o2, and i used to see 18psi just under 3000.

Everthing is ported but not clipped. Last night I was seeing full boost under 3500 somewhere but still couldnt watch everthing real well. Still tuning but its not much more lag than the T25 which is good for me.

I have not done any launches yet so I dont know about from a dead stop. Still working my way up to that, I am just trying not to break anything.
