new nvt350.... new gear ratios..?

after installing a remanufactured tranny in my eclipse i found that the gear ratios are different. The car used to just barely hit 60 in second now i can get an easy 68 in second and in third i used to get 90 now i can get 100 or a little more. So the question i guess is, did i get a neon tranny? or whats going on?

Probably. The neon has taller gears (3.55 ratio as opposed to 3.94 in the mitsu trans) I wouldnt worry about it. If anything, you'll get better gas mileage.

That sounds to me like you did get the neon tranny... Just a different bellhousing pretty much. I'm not positive but I think they may be a bit weaker. That or I just had bad luck with mine when I had it installed in my rs.

well if it is weaker thats not cool, although it must not be i believe the hahn race craft eclipse uses a dodge neon tranny because it reduces wheel hop with the higher gear ratios so it sounds good to me thanks for the replies guys

Um, no. Stiffer motor mounts reduces wheel hop. A tuned suspension reduces wheel hop. A transmission with taller gears allows you to be in boost longer and has a higher top speed. It wouldnt be a significant difference in the amount of wheel hop with gear ratios that close together.
