ok.. i did some search.. on this question and got mixed opinions. i bought a used japan motor and im basically doing timing belt job, camshafts and new lifters. now do i need to bleed the new lifters or can i just bolt down the camshafts and it wil bleed it self, over next week? i read in a old post that it will bleed itself within 48hrs is this true? idk opinions appreciated.

Will they eventually bleed down?, that I can't tell you for sure but would I take the chane that they will?, no way. I'd much rather know their properly blead down, not like it takes alot of additional effort. Especially considering the possible damage if they don't happen to bleed down properly.

hey guys im about to do timing belt and 272/272 cams my self and i want to put the revised 3g lifters at the same time ...can u go into details on how to properly install new lifters and the proper lubing or bleeding process that's involved with changing them ...i would really appreciate it guys ... :)

ok.. i bled all of them. it wasnt even hard at all. now i can rest with comfort.:thumb: i over torqued my cam caps due to a broken torque wrench but i did re torque them to spec. would that miss up my cam caps and the grooves? yo man i swear one thing after another.
