so i finally got time to work on it again.. talked to shawn @ ff to get to where its at now..(few wiring issues i fixed) my issue now is.. when I try to drive it in auto mode.. it will shift to 2nd @ about 20 mph and will free rev up to about 4k rpm (when i let off).. if im over like 40% throttle... same with 3rd... but when I put it in manual mode and manually shift it with the kiggly mod it shifts perfect.. what would cause the shifts to act like this in auto mode? its drivable as long as I leave it manual and use my shifter to change gears. but for the track i need it to shift for me.... asking here for something like this before bothering shawn again...thanks much.

A question for clarification:
When you say "put it in manual mode and manually shift it with the kiggly mod", does that mean you are using the UP and DOWN shift inputs provided by the FF 150 box, or are you using inputs you previously had? The FF 150 is designed for stock transmission controls.

The latest update of the FF 150 has quite extensive adjustability for the shift delay and firmness. Ours took quite a bit of adjusting to get it to shift smoothly up and down the gears, using numbers far from what came as defaults. Ours also initially revved to the moon in some gears under acceleration using the default tables.

You will probably have to get the FF 150 to shift smoothly in manumatic mode, using the UP and DOWN inputs provided on the FF 150. Once those are performing well, flipping the switch to AUTO should provide reliable shifts.

when I say manual.. I mean i flip the tcu package switch I bought from FF.. and I use a ratchet shifter to manually shift gears.(shuts off the 150 box).. works perfect that way.. I am just trying to get it shifting right now in auto mode..Still new to this auto wiring stuff been manual for decades LOL... also never thought the shift maps out of the box would be that far off. i just bought the box on black friday so I assume it has the latest version on it.. guess thats something I need to look into and learn to mess with.. thanks for the input.

Read this thread, especially the last part of post #7.

thanks I have read that post about 10 times over the past 8 months .. and was at a loss each time LOL... but since if been looking more and more into the settings the past few weeks its starting to make a lil sense now.. but not fully... plus his pages/pics are diff than mine since I have the latest version.. gonna mess with it again tomorrow and change a few settings and post back if it helps... thanks for the help..

so I went over and over that again the last 2 days.. changed some settings today.. ( turned off rpm upshift... and debounce somehow was at 250.) set it to factory 150 and it shifted but still free revved but then shifted... lowered it to 100 and it barely free revved and shifted.. (this is eco mode just going up the street 20-25 mph).. what should the debounce be? and also what is the adaptive on the 2 graph pages? mine when driving is about 39 but 0 clue what that means LOL.. thanks for the help as always..
