Okay well I just got my Chrome Intake from ebay and put it on, I took it down the street and my BOV sound is soo different. My friend and I both think the Blow off sound sounds worse, but the turbo wind is better. Is this intake and filter suppose to change my BOV sound so much or is it that i'm leaking somewhere, maybe circulating a bit into the atmosphere due to bad clamping? Or would the sound change if I changed to a different filter?

It could be how its clamped. But stock vs metal, its changes the noise drastically. What does it matter though? Run a BLT and go from there.

It should be noticeably louder with a hard intake pipe (both spool and "blow off"). If you have any concerns, do a boost leak test like was said above.

Nah bro LOL. Just keep it real with what you have and be happy you got and BLT the #### out of the car and youll be good.

The sound will change from stock, if you still have the dumptube in the origional intake, the air blows down almost directly onto the turbine, only about 3 inches away, if you do the dump tube mod you notice you lose sound, and upgrading to a non rubber intake the sound again changes as the sound doesnt travel through aftermarket intakes like it does through the stock rubber one, I'm guessing you have the "chrome intakes" intake from ebay? They are a little thicker than injen or dejon intakes are and the sound is deadend alot through them, if you are wanting bov sound, go the gm maf route so you can vent to atmosphere, but if your like the vast majority of us dsmers, you wont care about the sound, all go and no show right ;) but always remember, you cant have go fast without slowfast LOL

Im clueless what bov you have and no mod profile found. Will you can't expect a hks ssqv sound like supras, LOL.
Im still close to stock WITH A 1GEN BOV. When I change it to injen intake bov didn't make that much of a noise. I did notice a really loud turbo whine which equals COOL! LOL

Okay I'm not really complaining about the sound, I was just making sure I installed the intake correctly. And I'm running a stock BOV right now.

A metal recirculating tube would be cool, I'll think about that. And another thing, as I continued driving it seemed to blow off at really low boost? I can barely give it gas and the stock gauge barely moves and let off and it will blow off, seems quicker than before the new intake. Just wondering.
