new head,now wasted bottom end

if the oil preassure drops to low,is there a switch that tells the motor to shut down? a saftey switch so to speak...oil everywhere and the motor shut down...brand new head...ran four five days...havent had a chance 2 look at it yet...wondering about the switch if they have one?

There's no switch. The only indication of low oil pressure is the warning light on the dashboard.
