new head? any suggestions

well, i am lookin to get a new head, probably from one of those links on the bottom of this site, i dont think there is anything really wrong with my head, timing might be a little bad, i dunno, but i am lookin to get some hp out of doin this, so i would like some suggestions on which way to go. i have about 500 to spend right now, so if this is enough to get some hp, any suggestions would be nice, like should i get some new cam gears, what about cams? what kind? maybe get a port and polish job to the head? is any of this good? is there anything else that may be better? i also have a new timing kit, comes with the belt, pulleys, tensioner, water pump, so i plan on doin all of that while the head is off as well. also, if anyone knows what parts i will need, if they can tell me, that would be nice as well, i know ill need a new gasket and head bolts, but will there be anything else?

i dont get this site, every time i make a post, no one answers me, they look at the post, and ignore it as if it never existed. and this site is supposed to be run by the ideals and hopes of gainin as much hp out of our dsm's as possible, and here i am, made a post askin what i could possibly do to gain as much hp as i can by doin a head swap, and any other mods that could be done while i have the head off, and no one answers me, it just makes no sense to me, and im upset

Well, give people time to answer you. I dont think anyone is going to drop what they are doing to come answer your question that could have been answered by searching. Im not going to answer any of it for you 1) Im not a n/t person 2) I have seen most of your questions answered in threads that have been made in the past 2 days 3)I dont like people that bump their own threads.

i did search, but i couldnt find anything useful, and its always easier to have someone answer ur own question, then rather gettin answers from someone elses question. and i didnt exactly bump my thread, it was more of a complaint, and yes i know, bumping is not allowed

I'm not an N/T guy either. However a whole 4 hours on a weekend have passed between your post and your complaint...guess what..it's the weekend..those of us who have the day off are probably out taking a nice sunday cruise.... it can take DAYS to get a response. While your questions are basic, they'd probably be answered more quickly in the NT forum or on the 2gnt site. Being that your car is running and these are upgrades that you're looking to do in the near future, not tonight, show a little patience and take some initiative by running some searches on the site. "its always easier to have someone answer ur own question, then rather gettin answers from someone elses question." ...that's just laziness. try searching again in the NT forum using key words like Head, cams, cam gears, porting, etc.
