Did anyone rebuild the fuel lines and return lines with AN fittings?

i removed the original stock fuel lines, they were not in good condition, im rebuilding all in an, but I'm having trouble deciding where to run the new gas lines.
The old ones passed between the crossbar and the insulator with a very tiny space, the AN are much bigger...
