ok i got my 96 talon esi in the shop. it turns out the fuel injectors were rusty. they cleaned them up then the car ran but its still not pushing what it could. would it help if i bought new fuel injectors. when its idling the rpms move a little bit. when im shifting gears i can kinda smell gas, and the rpm's dont go over 4-5,000 RPM's. i dont think mine has a governor on it does it? and arent the rpms supposed to skyrocket to redline like a normal import cuz mine doesnt even do that. what should i do?

im sorry for the bump.

but would it fix all that stuff thats happening? like would it make the rpms jump like a normal talon would? would it stop spuddering.

and another thing. does my 96 talon esi have a governor on it?

Skyrocket to Redline like other improts? LOL Is this a non turbo DSM, or a Turbo Supra??

I rarely if ever rev my Non turbo to redline! No reason to.

You might want to try some SeaFoam, it's worth a shot, and it's only $6 per can.

Pour one can in you gas tank, then fill it up. Drive it till it's down to almost empty.

Then run the (2nd can) of SeaFoam into your intake via the brake booster (search for further details on how this is done).

After you run the SeaFoam ito the intake, clean your plugs and change your oil.

Then report back.

Have you changed your fuel filter lately? Do it after the seafoam cleaning

Do you get any CEL's??

Keep in mind, it's only about 130 HP car. It's not gonna skyrocket to redline (unless it's in neutral, or you have nitrous).

None of us can gurantee what the car will run like after you follow our advice. We are just telling you some things that MIGHT HELP. You won't know the results until you try.
