just bought a 93 eagle talon awd with the 4 bolt lsd. It my first time owning a dsm.
I bought the car for 2500 he was asking 3600 but with persistent persuasion i gave what it was worth.
The car had a bad tranns, leaking transfer case and bad yoke. Bought a stage 1 john Sheppard trans for 185 which all it needed was a 2nd gear synchro but very clean. I had the transfer case rebuilt fro around 200 and the yoke cost me 72 at the mitsu dealer ship.
cars had major boost leaks but had a new turbo so that was a plus, new cv axles and a very clean interior and nice body.
So far ive port and polished the head and put bc 272 cams and gears in with bc dual valve springs and lifters.
good speed fmic, manual boost controller, with boost gauge from summit racing, 550cc injectors, 255 whalbro fuel pump, aem fuel rail with aem fp regulator.
I have not ecu management yet, im probably going with dsm link v3?
i have a rebuilt eprom ecu by motoguys.com which i think may be bad because it will not go to red line.
don't have any suspension mods yet but Ive only had the car for a week so....
So far the cars fun. just have a major boost leak and vacuum is at 10 which i believe its suppose to be at 20? so when it hits boost it spuddars and hesitates but at idle its fine and when i rev it it revs quickly and some what smoothly since i have no tune and im sure its running rich or lean idk?
Any pointers or mods would help. Im always willing to learn new things. I just bought a eagle crank and eagle rods with je pistons. So any other suggestions would be nice ?
