I've been completely redoing the interior of my FD and decided that I didn't want a painted interior. I want this thing to be super clean so in my searches to find which carbon fiber I wanted I came across this.

Classic Neffy - Traditional Carbon Fiber Wrap [NW01] - $35.00 : Neffywrap.com, Home of the Original Neffy Carbon Fiber Wrap

After some research I think this is definitely worth a shot. I see a lot of BMW's, Lexus's, and high end cars using this to upgrade their interior. The part that I really like is you still get the soft feel and you don't have the blinding reflection when the sun hits the parts. And since my interior is already all black I think this will fit right in.

Share your thoughts/input on this. I will be making a How To Article on this as long as it works out.

I will just tell you that it's not what it looks like when you get it. and when you install it, GOOD LUCK. about 2 years ago, i wasted almost $200 on that fake c/f shit that were suppose to be the newest best thing out. it were the closest to c/f as it could be, but installing was a nightmare and then when i went to wash it with a cloth it scratched and completly ruined it 100%

My concern would be it folding or creasing when you trying to put in on rounded objects

I'm very sorry, I did not know it were cloth! I were thnking of the peel/stick type. Although not the generic peel/stick type, This were made of a very very strong type of material like aluminum looking back that you coulden't rip, only cut. it were just a catastrophie especially trying to do anything that were not perfectly flat. Then when i went to clean it, That's when it messed up even more and scuffed /dulled etc instantly!

Please buy this and do it. If it works out, i will do my black door handles because they are faded and do the gauge cluster. That would look very nice.

I actually know a guy who used this stuff. It comes by the yard for $35! It works pretty nicely, its just like doing any other kind of interior wrap. You kinda have to work it alot in the corners, and with that 3m spray adhesive, it's better to spray the adhesive and put the cloth right down immediately cause by the time you're done smoothing it all out and getting wrinkles out of any kind the glue underneath gets tacky and kinda hard to move the piece.

I'll try. I'll order a yard and do a review on it. I've already done real CF on my fuel door and replaced the stock Nose :talon: Badge with a CF Piece. I will try.

I'm about to lay my roof and Headliner. So maybe I'll wait on that to see how this works.

I used that CF Tape from VatoZone, Works pretty good for flat surfaces but is impossible to mold...

I meant the headliner. With the stuff your going to buy, i wonder how that would look as a headliner.

Too bad you couldn't still have the eagle on the badge with the carbon fiber in the background, that would look great

Ah, carbon fiber cover paper. The woodgrain of the 21st Century.

There's one reason to see carbon fiber: the part's made of it, and covering that ugly shit with a nice layer of paint would double its weight.

Otherwise, it's like streamers on bicycle handlebars.

From what I'm reading.
"Features:
OEM BMW M3 Dry Carbon LOOK AND FEEL
Lightweight
Flexible
Superior Breathability
Spillproof
Waterproof
*Completely Reversible (dependent on application)"
The "Look and feel" is the only concern I would have, I don't think real carbon fiber is anymore expensive than $35 a yard. Only advantage I see would be ease of use/application.
Imo it's the best looking cf "look" material that I've seen so far. I wonder if you could coat a peice in resin once installed?

I'm thinking the same thing. It looks identical to real CF. I've laid real CF and it looks identical. So it might be real CF, but molded into a layer so it can be "taped" onto something. And then you could paint on resin and sand it down and clear coat it.

I was planning on doing my Headliner anyway in CF. And this stuff says its best to use the 3M Adhesive Spray, which is what I use to do Headliners and carpet installs on sub enclosures and other things at the shop. So Pull your headliner if its good, you could prob do it two ways, pull the stock material and lay the CF over it to get the hard feel, or soak the stock headliner in 3M Adhesive spray and lay it... That way its still soft.

phunny, lemme know how it goes. I'm gonna order a yard as well in the next few days.
