New Dash Speakers play Radio but not CDs?

So today I bought some new 3 way speakers for the dash of my car. I don't own a DSM but I have a 2g sebring coupe. My old stock speakers would sometimes play the CDs but they were dying, so I replaced them, using the same wires that were already there, and now the new speakers play the radio fine, just not on the CDs. The other speakers still play it fine and I didn't change any wiring. I have the stock infinity amp and infinity speakers. Anyone know what's up?

I really sounds like it's more of a problem with the CD player than the speakers. If you hear sound through them from the radio and not the CD player, then the laser in the CD player might be broken or something. But it doesn't sound like a speaker issue.

That's what I began to think. I guess i'll take it apart tomorrow and clean the eye.

Tried cleaning it, no results. and for some reason my backleft sub works with the radio and not the cd player now. Maybe I just have to buy a new cd player.

Is the CD player a separate component from the tuner? It sounds to me like the receiver/cd player is dying a slow death. Good luck man, Chip.
