Hey guys, I'm in need of a new crankshaft. The question I have is where and what style crank should I buy. I'm not looking to make 500hp but I would like something that could hold up to some mild mods and tuning. Would Eagle forged be overkill or should I just find a like OEM or reman? A review of any crankshaft you have used would help.

I'm not saying go all out but what do you see your self running in a year? high boost or not i personally think you should give your self some head room for a possible future build with higher boost.

Eagle is a good brand and are cheaper than a new factory crank. But with that said, I have yet to see an aftermarket crankshaft proven stronger than a factory one. I'd suggest finding a used stock crank in good shape and having it reconditioned by a machinist.

Personally I would only run oem. Be careful with reman cranks bc they are normally cut .010 to .030 under causing you to run oversized bearings, so checking your clearances is a must. Also need to be careful when buying a cut crank that not much material is taken off bc there is a certain hardening surface on them that if it gets cut beyond that you are into soft metal and it won't last long.
