-ok so a shop is installing a clutch on my GSX, they put in a ACT 2600, resurface the flywheel and, a new slave cylinder

-drove it around the block it started slipping, when i got back to the shop, it was really bad(luckly i didn't drive it far from the shop)

shut the car off, turn it back on and it wont go in any gear, reverse grinds.

-then they replace the master cylinder and SS clutch line and a new ACT 2600

and its slipping again

they are trying a new flywheel now,

do you guys think that the flywheel was resurfaced wrong in the first place? idk if they checked the spec after it was resurfaced.

up date:

would the wrong fly wheel cause my problem?

the owner of the shop said that the one that is in the car looks like a 2g but there are 3 weight rings on the back of it... so its not the right flywheel, the car had a Exeddy in it when i took it in to be replaced

thanks

thanks i have read that a million times, LOL

im confused why it would befine, then <1/8th mile later it would start slipping, then <1/8 mile after that the car would not even going to gear

i figure it wont going to gear cus maybe the clutch step is to high causing to not want to fully disengage, but then it should hold fine and not slip

correct?

you guys think it could be in the tranny?

did they put transmission fluid back in it? Are the axle boots broken? It really does sound like a clutch issue but those are good things to know. does the clutch release low to the floor? Maybe the clutch needs to be bleed better.

the front boots were torn, so they put in new fron axles,

why would them being torn have to do with anything?

the car has Tein coil overs and is extremely low, like 1.5" of clearance on the front end LOL

I was just making sure. what about trans. fluid. does the clutch petal release low to the floor? Make sure the dowel pins are in too. that is very important especially when adding an after market clutch. Maybe you rear oil seal is leaking oil all over the clutch.

hmm, the car does not leak any oil. what are the dowel pins? where are they located?

did you resurface the flywheel? If the shop made sure the flywheel was very clean when they put it back on then the problem shouldnt be the flywheel. However flywheels have certain specs. There is an article called act clutch information under driveterrain that has the spec.

i didn't do it, they had it done,

does any one know of a flywheel that looks like a 2g, but has 3 weight rims on the back side?

This is a long shot, but have they checked to see if the plunger on the slave cylinder is perhaps sticking?

Where is the new master from?
