I bought the ChromeIntakes ebay intake pipe and am waiting on decent couplers to come in before I install it. However it came with a cheap plastic MAF adapter and filter, so I put those on tonight. The install went well, other than not having a mount and just kinda hanging there. It sounded good, and I took it for a couple WOT pulls, for the first time I was hearing my BOV while revving in neutral, checked the gauge and saw 12 pounds of boost, in neutral. Cool, feels good, sounds good.
I got home and popped the hood to make sure everything was still in the same place and suddenly, oil! All around the oil cap oil had "leaked" out - I understand that's a common thing but the part that got me was I pulled the cap to check the gasket and there wasn't one there, at all. How is it I haven't leaked oil up until now, and did this air filter really open me up so much that now I'm getting full boost/blow off in neutral?
PS - Picking up a new cap/gasket tomorrow and ordering a spare OEM.
