I have a 92 eclipse 1.8L n/t 5 speed.
The trans seems to be fine gears 1-5 but whenever i try to put it in revers i literally have to rip the shifter into reverse!! clutch is put all the way in everytime i just idk whats wrong. Is it the synchros i havent had time to rip it open yet considering this is my dd but ne help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

You got the F5M22 manual tranny for 1.8's and 2.0 NT motors.

Try this trick called "double clutching" - dump the clutch twice before shifting into Reverse from Neutral. Reverse is a spur gear arrangement, thus has no syncros on this section of the tranny.
