need to know a couple things

Hey all, I have a 94 Plymouth laser Rs converted to a turbo, it has a 91 6bolt, evo3 big16g turbo and has been bored with p&p head. I got it almost two years ago with a bad headgasket and just now got it back from the shop, incomplete. I know, bulls**t but the mech was "too busy" for it. All the vac lines were off, intake off, pretty much just the motor and trans were just sitting there, and just today I got it running, and its running really rough, but I need to know two things, does anybody have a diagram where the vac lines go? And also, there is a big ugly silver box attached to my throttle cable that I cannot figure out where it goes and all that i have seen of my gen have a nice little black box bolted to the firewall, but not the case with mine.

If its rectangle it gets bolted to the firewall and just get a Chilton it will help you out a lot.

That's the thing tho, it doesn't line up anywhere on the firewall, and it doesn't look like the rest of them. It's big, fat and ugly and doesn't fit in anywhere. Can I just get a non cruise throttle cable and delete the box? And if I can do that, what about the plug that goes to it, can i leave it unplugged?

The box thats on the throttle cable is probably the cruise controll. But a pic would help a bunch.

I think your either thinking of the 2g or something else in the 1g engine bay.


Here's where the cruise control should be (circled in red). Unless it changed between 1ga and 1gb.

You can get a non-cruise cable and it would work just fine. Also unplugging the cruise control wire harness won't do anything to the car.

90 bolts near battery, 91-94 bolt to firewall behind intake. you can get a non cruise cable off a base model 1.8 at a junkyard.

Good for you. I would rather have a new part. After having hundreds in my bay, i don't want a old cable

I think your either thinking of the 2g or something else in the 1g engine bay.

That is EXACTLY what mine looks like! Thanks man! Just need to find out where it bolts up, or just get the jy cable
