Need suggestions...

I am trying to build a 2.3L 4G63 engine. My goals are to have an extremely clean and decently fast Eclipse eventually. This car will be not necessarily be my DD, but it's not being build for the track and needs to be reliable as well as built for street use. I'm not concerned with what kind of top speeds my project will be able to reach. What I am worried about is having as fast acceleration as possible. Here's what I currently have to work with: Brian Crower 280/280 cams (BC0102), Brain Crower valve spring and retainer kit(BC0100), a 7-bolt block and complete 7-bolt head, I also have a 1g BOV and 1G TB laying around. This is my first build so I have no clue what I'm doing. I just continue to read thread after thread looking for answers. At this point I'm thinking a stroker kit from Brian Crower and 1mm over bored valves. So first few questions are...I should probably be building a 6-bolt block...correct? Are the stroker kits from Brian Crower worth a damn? And what other tips/hints/part suggestions can you guys give me? Thanks ahead of time guys.

Not sure about the brian crower stroker. As far as the block goes, i would tell you to go with a 6-bolt. But if you have a 7 bolt in good condition, i'd say just build that, unless you have the extra cash to drop on a 6 bolt and do the convertion. 1mm over sized valves would be a good idea for better airflow, but if you are trying for less than 600hp i really wouldn't worry about it.

I'd honestly be happy with 350hp and I don't care about the money I spend because this will be a project that I expect to do very slowly. I just want to make sure it's done right and I get what I want out of it.
