watsup everybody i've had my 97 gsx for about 2 years now, 1 year sitting around because the transmission went out, so i decided to just rebuilt the whole car here are my current upgrades

Engine modifications:
jmf smim
mild port and polished
brian crower 280/280 cams
brian crower springs
oem retainers
stainless valves
bronze valve guides
wiseco pistons 9.0.1 with .40 over
eagle rods
acl race main and rod bearings
micro polished crank
torque plated
balance removed
walbro 255hp

Transmission:
TRE tranny with welded center differential

Exhaust:
apexi 3inch turbo back
punishment racing manifold
tial 38mm wg

my goal is to reach over 5**whp i wanna run a hta gt3582r. im not sure on what size injectors to run to many sizes to choose from. so thats my buildup any suggestions would help

I would say anything over 1000 cc will help you get there. I'm looking forward to buy some RC or PTE 1000 cc in the next couple months.

It all depends on the type of fuel you plan to use.

For instance on my Evo9 w/ a standard gt35r .63 housing and race fuel i was maxing out pte 1000's at about 30 psi and 500hp on our MD on 1 walbro 255

If you plan to run E85 you will need something like 1450's or 1600's and 2 pumps.

That's where i'm at now on 37psi and 560hp on 1450's and 2 pumps inj d/c = 67ish%

Fwiw i had 1200's in between the 1000's and 1450's and maxed them out on e85 but w/ race gas we had room to play.

A few things you might be interested in buying to complete your build.

1. I would say complete any necessary / forgotten maint. due to sitting idle for 1 year
2. Adjustable FPR (you have the 255 listed but no FPR)
3. Engine management (DSMLINK or any other standalone I wouldn't do a piggyback for that HP goal)
4. Radiator / fans (pushing more HP with stock radiator/fans for long periods could cause heating issues which will effect timing being pulled)
5. Oil cooler (cooler oil is always a plus!)
6. Wideband O2 sensor (for tuning purposes)

yea sorry forgot to mention i have an adjustable FPR, im debating on either a mega squirt or a aem standalone(big price difference). and for fuel, i will be using 92 octane on low boost and when i switch it up to high boost i will use race gas. also will a tial 38mm handle a hta gt35

Man you should know with the AEM unit your going to have to program it from scratch. That means hours of setting it up on your laptop. The mega squirt looks like too many parts and a real hassel to put together. If you want something good thats made for our cars and has a setup time of less than 30 minutes. Go get DSMLink.
