I got a 90 Talon TSI AWD about a month ago. I finally got it to the track last weekend. First off, this is my first AWD car and I have had other boosted cars in the past. My first pass was freaking, down right LAME!!! Check this....17.4!!! I launched about 5 grand, which was fine, and the feeling of getting thrown back into the seat was crazy. The boost came on so fast (18psi) I didnt get the car into 2nd gear, it bogged REAL BAD, I let off the gas, seeing it dumped so much fuel and almost died out, and kept rolling. My trap speed was 99.7 mph. So my question to you guys/girls, is what should I run with the mishap I just listed for 1/4 time with that kinda trap speed?? I did about 5 runs that night with the same problem of shifting into 2nd. I had very bad times but high trap speeds. Help me out with the take offs

Learn how to shift better. Or, if your car is having problems, look at some articles and vfaq about shifting upgrades. (Those stock rubber things holding down your shift base are garbage.)

I'm really having problems with shifting into 2nd. I'm praying that the syncros for 2nd arent messed up. I tried launching at 3500 with no luck. I was hoping that you AWD guys would give me some pointers on how you launch at the track.
