Hi, after reading, I need some help with injectors and tuning in general. My mods are listed and up to date in my profile. I was considering getting a FPR and some FIC 650's.

Now, with a DSMchips stage 3 chip, I can get injector compensation, but I would still need an alternate tuning method. I know this. So what would be the reason to pay money on an EPROM chip if I am just going to get DSMLink sometime in the near future? The chip would make tuning easier and that's it...is that correct? I understand 650's are somewhat hard to tune for noobies? I ask this because I have never tuned in my life, and although reading up on tuning, I don't understand it completely.

I am thinking the 650's because my goals are strictly pump gas, fast daily driver. I'm not looking for 10 sec. 1/4's nor am I looking to have the fastest car in town. I just want a nice daily driver. I chose 650's over the 550's that are supposedly easier to tune because maybe down the line, I can see myself upgrading to a 50 trim. That is the highest I'd go (I'm sure shep said that at one point.... now look at the guy ROFL ). Anyways, that's my predicament. Thanks for any and all responses.

DSMlink has its own EPROM chip so I would just wait and not get the chip from DSMchips. I would def. get an AFPR though. I'm not 100% sure but you might be over-running the stock regulator with a supra pump. With DSMlink you can compensate for injectors and fine tune also. Just get DSMlink as soon as possible.

Thanks for your repsonse. If I was to get a 3" MAF and translator, should I just leave the translator settings to "0" or "stock" or whatever it might be? I would then use DSM Link to tune... Does this sound good?
