Need Rim Help

I recently purchased a 97 gst spyder and it is completely stock. I picked up a set of TSW Rims with 225/50/18 yokohama tires on them. I tried putting them on my eclipse, but they rub. They barely make the front and the back they are rubbing very badly. What can I do to make these rims fit??? Any help is really appreciated!

Well you should have checked the offset and and the width of the rim.

You can get Wheel spacers.

You are correct about that...thats a lesson learned. Any idea what size wheel spacers I would need?

Put washers between the rotor and wheel. Keep adding washers until you're clear, plus a little bit. Measure the stack of washers. Order the spacers.

You may just have too "thick" of tire. I have 225/40ZR18's on mine. You may just need a thinner tire.

Thanks for the response I was kind of wondering about that, what kind of suspension are you running on your car? The Spyder I got is completely stock.

I have never run into a fitment issue with a DSM with 225s on a correctly backspaced wheel. 245s? maybe. 255s? probably. 225s? Uh no.

Most people forget that last part..Just wanted to make it clear, to not use the washers and order spacers.I could see someone seeing the post and using the washers period..
