need help on rim/tire combo!

Hey guys, I am looking for the best rim/tire combo on my 2g 1995 eclipse. I really want a wide low profile tire with either a 17 or 18 inch rim. Also, for me to do that will I need wheel spacers? Have to lower it? I have stock suspension right now. Thanks guys!!

well there are a lot of factors to consider. you will likely need to do a lot of research on here for offsets, widths that work etc... also what suspension you plan on running. On stock suspension you will likely rub with anything close to filling the wheel well.. I ran 235-45 R17 with no issues on a stock suspension but anything larger would likely rub if that helps.

For reference I'm running a 17x9 +35 offset with a 245/40 lowered a bit with no rubs, no fender rolling/pulling or any of that. Take into consideration that the actual width of tires will vary from company to company. Not all 245's will be the same width.

Really can't go wrong with an evo rim at 17x8 +38 (Evo 8 & 9)

And on the other side of the coin, I'm running 17×8.25, 235/45 with +35 offset, car lowered a couple of inches with rear fender rub. Had to roll the rear fenders a little bit.

On your 17 inch rims was they 17x9? And what kind of offset did you have?

I got 225/50 17 on 3g Eclipse gts rims on stock suspension. Really nice ride, bumps arnt that bad.
