2G Need New Front Bumper, Some Questions

I would say stick with OEM. I did some research when replacing my bumper cover and a good amount of people with more experience than me said to stay away from anything aftermarket as it usually won't line up properly. I've learned when it comes to fitment you just can't beat OEM. Plus with aftermarket skins they can be crap fiberglass which may crack and warp over time. If anything, make sure to get a polyurethane bumper if you decide to go aftermarket. I think I ended up buying mine OEM from Amazon for a little over $100 shipped, pre-primered. Just make sure you order your 97-99 model bumper as the 95-96 years are slightly different fit around the headlights on the 2G.

Installation is easy. Not worth paying for someone to do it, just an bunch of nuts and bolts around the inner fender liners, front subframe and hood latch area. There's probably a write up on it somewhere. Personally I would have it professionally painted and do the rest myself.

Depending on how bad your bumper is, i would just go to your local auto parts store and buy a fiberglass kit. It's really easy and would leave you with your original bumper, you could take your time finding a decent paint shop, because where it is cracked would be the only place that needs painting and the paint shop could color match what is already on your bumper when you bring it in.

Go with the stock bumper and if anything put a lip on it. I originally trashed my stock bumper because of the condition of it and went with the blitz bumper and I was disappointed with the build quality. Every bumper needs either little or a lot of fabrication for a nice fit rather than a OEM bumper you just interchange it and rebolt it back on. Check around on craigslist or ebay, I've seen a ton there for sale and for a great price

I would go with just using the oem dsm bumper. I don't know how many dsm's you got around there but try any local part yards, or like everyone has been saying craigslist, ebay .... I literally just pulled a mint bumper off a 2g in a junk yard and payed dirt cheap $35. I personally think that the 2g bumper looks the best compared to anything else out there.

you will need talon headlights but other than that youll be set, and unique, most body kits for eclipse or talons imo are ricey so i tend to stay towards customized oem parts.

id stick with oem love the look of the oem one on mine, however have searched all the yards locally and about 45 dsm cars and not a single one had the fog light bezels that i want for mine.

I bought a $75 bumper off ebay. You tell me if it fits okay. Maybe some people had issues or maybe they just didn't know what they were doing, I don't know but for $75 shipped I was pretty satisfied.
