So yea, when I first got my car, I didn't know how to drive it, therefore I bottomed it out a couple of times, screwing up my front bumper completely... However, I don't want to get an aftermarket body kit, because I enjoy my car just the way it is. Would it be cheaper just to find a used front bumper at a junkyard? Or should I just got with an all new bumper and have my whole car painted the color I really want?

shouldn't you decide that yourself? of course getting a bumper from a junkyard would be cheaper and maybe the way to go if your painting the car anyway.

I'd say go for the OEM bumper. Unfortunitely you don't likve in Canada, I know a place over here where I picked up an 97-99 eclipse front bumper for $175. It was brand news, and it came primed! You may want to check out Auto Zone, i think they can get them, but I'm not ure of the price. Good Luck

I have a 97 talon front bumper if you need it PM me. They are relatively the same thing, just have to get rid of the big Eagle emblem on the front :)

hmmmm...I might have to take you up on that bumper offer from your talon. But I'm not entirely sure... It would kinda make my car a transexual thing, LOL, because it'd be an Eclipse with a Talor body piece. I'm sorry...but that sounds funny.

There are tons of people that do that. They are the same car just about (Talon has a few added features like the door brush guards). Either way i dont mind i was just trying to save you some money :)

I understand where you're coming from and I appreciate the thought, but I just can't see myself putting a Talon part on my Eclipse. No offense bro, but I have never really been a fan of the Talons...even though they are practically the same car. Lol. I guess it has to do with the fact that I don't like the name hehe...

i say just go buy a used one, I found mines for 100 bucks in a junkyard, and theres a place I know that just orderes them new for 100, I've gone threw maybe 6-8 fronts if you can find one cheap just get it painted you'll come out to just about the same for used one if it's diff color to paint it, then you would buying a new one that is primered and painting.

http://www.car-part.com

That site is THE junkyard searcher. You can locate specific parts by distance from your zip and by price. A neccessary tool for buying used parts in my opinion.

There's also:

http://www.carpartfinderusa.com/
Its a phone number you call. I think they are a broker for used parts. Nver used them before.

http://junkyarddog.com/
This one lets you submit parameters for a part you want, then you are emailed quotes. Some are specific others are generic.

If you want new there's always:

http://www.mitsubishiparts.com/default.php

http://mitsupartsdirect.com/

BEST of luck in your part search.

Exatculy what he said you can either get an oem or an aftermarket the looks like the oem. Some of them come painted to the color of oyur choice too. All depends on how much you wanna spend.
