Hey everybody, I bought some AEM big brake rotors a few years ago for my 96 GST and now they are down to their limit. I have been looking around for the rotors only but can't seem to find them. Does anyone know where I can get them again? I checked their website and found nothing :(

PowerSlot bought AEM's brake business and was in turn bought by Centric.
It looks like the kit is now sold under the PowerSlot Plus brand. The rotors are listed in this StopTech catalog (Also owned by Centric) http://www.stoptech.com/Products/HP2009.pdf

Thanks for the link, unfortunately, with the AEM brake kit I have, it comes with aem rotors as well, these are 4 piston caliper that are used on the rear on porsche boxsters I believe. The thickness of the rotor needs to be about one inch to squeeze between the pads. Although, the rear off of the cobra that you showed me looks interesting. I am going to inquire about those. But i did want to mention, I found a part number from stoptech that supposedly replaced my kit. 29-560L and 29-560R. Just for reference for future searches, the part number on my aem kit is 32-5004.

Does anyone have specs on the old AEM hats? I am curious what rotor pattern they are using and rotor offset?

To answer my own question, AEM front hats use 8x7" pattern. That happens to be a VERY popular pattern for Wilwood! So they make dozens of different rotors to fit it! Price starting as little as $30 for 11.7 rotors. I never looked into replacement for AEM rotors for the actual AEM kit, instead I put together a custom brake system using AEM hats.

For reference, TCE older hats/rotors are using 8x7.625 pattern, so they are not compatible with these hats and this series of Wilwood rotors.

Now, for the next AEM brake question: has anyone ever figured out what rotors they are using for their 2G rear kits? I highly doubt that they were casting their own rotors, so what did they use?

I will probably be answering this question in a few months ;).

I think I did some custom replacements for these years ago.

Seems they might be 12" or 12.2" diameter and .950 wide.

Might be able to help out still.

I am still trying to find an answer for this! Looks like they used some sort of OEM, one piece rotor and added a spacer to the DSM caliper. But... what rotor was this?

I think we may have ONE of the original rotors kicking around somewhere, but of course, a single one isn't of much use.

Yea, that doesn't really help :)

It has been many years since AEM sold/discontinued the product, I am surprised no one came up with a reasonable replacement! That had to be something simple ;)

So far, I have ruled out the following cars: 3000GT 91-99, EVO8

Any other ideas?
