montreal,
Hey everyone!
Ok my situation is pretty straigh forward and no uncommon...I need more power!
Here is a quick mods list:

-6 bolt
-264/264 cams
-TI srpings and retainers
-sheetmetal intake manifold
-tubular o2 housing with 38mm turbosmart wastegate
-fp manifold
-680cc injectors
-255lph walbro
-aem fuel rail
-aem fp regulator
-evo3 16g
-2600act and fidanze flywheel
-dsmlink
-metal head gasket and arp head studs
-greddy 24r intercooler with all piping

Not sure if missing anything but thats pretty much the important stuff, here's what im looking for, my hp goal is 400+ hp and a decent spool time (none of those 5000rpm spool ups for me, thanks!). I've done research and i know i need to change my injectors if i get a bigger turbo!

These are the options im currently looking at:

_porting the c*** out of ym evo316g
-20g (duh!)
-fp green (my favorite choice)
-pte bb 50 trim

I know these are all very popular turbos and many people have tested them out! I simply need a kick in the right direction maybe some convincing! All and any help is appreciated thank you in advance!

What he was saying is that if he adds anymore timing in you will start to get knock. 16g's are not very happy when you start to push them above 20psi. If I remember correctly when I had my 16g, to get over 20psi I had to take timing down quite a bit. Granted each person can have a different experience.

Either way I would still just add a larger turbo and call it a day.

Just wondering why you wouldn't want the later spool? Most of the fwd guys seem to like a little lag so they can keep traction.

conclusion:
Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone! Here's what ive figured out!

I think im going to go with either a 50trim or a green! Green being the turbo ive liked more i think i might go for that one if the budget allows. Ill also be tuning my car by someone else cause i think il be getting better results than what i am now! And il be doing the dejon piping and bigger injectors for sure...If not the dejon then a custom 3 inch setup....If anyne wants to add anything il keep looking this post up just incase!

Another thing I forgot to mention was that last time i went to tune my car i turned out 301whp! thanks i also got my tuning log or settings if anyone wants to c it maybe suggest something? thanks again guys

Do the tuning yourself. "Professionals" aren't doing much that you can't do yourself. And there's also the benefit of learning, and being able to troubleshoot when something goes wrong. Right now it seems like you've been relying heavily on others and have alot to learn. Besides, who do you think will put in more time/effort? Some dude who sees 10+ cars/day and gets paid for quantity over quality, or you?

For those of you that might be interested in seeing the creation we have all been talking about look at the pics! I know it's probably nothing compared to what you guys have but hey! I love her LOL

refer to this url to c them all:

Photoshoot: Black 97 Eclipse Gs-t (NO 56K) - MONTREALRACING

enjoy!

(the front bumper is going to go soon so is the back! i know they are ugly ive heard it time and time again! but! i didnt put them there they came with the car LOL)

I'm starting to work on my own car slowly slowly, it's a tad bit harder when i don't have all the tools i need at my posession and no work space! I got no garage just a back yard of my resto LOL
When i get my parts im doing the installs myself, turbo, intake pipes, injectors. And tuning isnt my specialty especialy since i don't know what effect it might have if i adjust certain things...and i don't have a dyno either...I gotta look into that a little bit more. I believe tuning on the street is sometimes better because the car will run smoother... when i tuned my car on the street it ran smoother than when i tuned it on the dyno, but i got more power on the dyno then on the street!

i got both tunes saved on my pc i can show them to who ever wants to c them except im not sure how to post them here!
