Need just the AC Clutch (Compressor is fine)

So, I think I've finally found the DSM for me. Its a 1997 GSX

The car does not have working AC, due to a bad clutch on the compressor.
(Tried jumping the plug directly and it still will not engage).

I have looked all over the internet and called several local parts suppliers. I can't find anyone selling just the clutch. Anyone know of a company that sells just the clutch? I'd really prefer to purchase new, and not have issues further down the road.

If I were you I would get the bearing and clutch kit. It will save you from having to tear into it again down the road.

(That is, if you can find the kit.)

Just found the bearing. Autozone Part # MT2027

What else should be in the clutch kit? Coil, plate?

are those parts the same on a 1g compressor? i got 2 perfect ones just laying around doing nothing i might be able to get to you IF they are in fact useable on a 2g

Just a thought but if you dont find what you're looking for I have a complete a/c system up for grabs that is in perfect working condition. It's just taking up space so I'd have no problem letting it go really cheap.

Assuming its from your GST? I have a friend in coloma, you ever up that way?

That is correct. I am only 10 min away from Coloma and I've got family there.
