Hey guys,

wanted to see if anyone could provide me with easy/cheap ideas on plugging up the stripped hole in the head for the oil feedline.

I already purchased the OFH feedline kit with a restrictor. So i'm just trying to figure out an easy way to plug the hole off.

I was thinking something along the lines of JB Weld or liquid metal. Or using a shorter bolt and put JB Weld or liquid metal on the threads of that!!??

I wonder if JB Weld or liquid metal will plug it off by itself??

Any good ideas highly appreciated!

JB weld will likely fail after a period of being subjected to vibration and oil pressure. it will also be likely to leak and there is a chance that some will get in your oil passages and cause a problem. The best thing to do is tap the hole out and put in a helicoil or find a bolt to match the new threads you tapped. a good welder could put a bead over it for you, but the surface will have to be very clean and free of contaminants.

I dont think jb weld will hold, I would get a thread chaser, Or a tap and heli coil. Fix the threads good enough to put a bolt with a copper crush washer into it. You will have to be careful about shavings entering into the oil. You could have it welded, But that could cause other problems.
Edit:Wickedquick you devil...You beat me to it.

What i have noticed with stripped out oil feeds, is a stainless steel brake banjo bolt, with non metric threads will self thread into the aluminum and allow the use of the stock oil feed. The best way to fix your issue is to tap the threads for the next larger size bolt.

Could someone explain me how the helicoil works, please?

And isn't it expensive?

The NT bolt idea and the next size larger bolt sounds reasonable enough also. Thank you
