new to the dsm world and already im questioning my decision to get my 97 eclipse gs... has 420a nt 5spd. all factory, bone stock. blew heater hose. simple enough fix. afterwards i warmed the car up, checked for leaks, found none. turned it off. next day it doesnt start. this was a week ago. im getting no spark. have fuel and compression. have replaced the following through after testing and process of elimination...
CrPS
CmPS
ASD relay
ignition coil
PCM (swapped from another running car. other car still runs with my PCM)
now im testing wires. tedious and painstakingly... i read that i should be getting +8v from the PCM to both CrPS and CmPS. im only getting 60 mv. if my PCM is good, why would this be happening??? have a feeling that this is what is causing me to get no spark... but, other than the a bad PCM, what would/could cause me to not even get 1 v through a wire that should be getting 8... also, did a resistance test on the wires. PCM pin 44, yellow power wire for CrPS & CmPS, multi meter is reading 00.0 ohms. same with the CmPS signal wire from PCM pin 33 and the sensor connector. the only one that has any resistance is the ground. and even then thats only when i touch the lead to the block or the battery. also, when i ground the signal wire from the connector, the asd relay clicks, then about a second later, clicks again. and two more times in the same manner upon removing the lead. someone please help. im stuck and need this car running.
