need help with tranny

ok so my 1g is done for and i am parting it out. but i found a 2g gst for extremely cheap that needs "tranny work" can i swap my internals from my 1g to the 2g tranny? ive searched this and i cannot find my anwser. i know that the 1g tranny will not mount to the 2g so maybe the internals will be good? thanks in advance guys!

maybe this can be moved into the drivetrain section? it would not let me post there

No the internals are different as well...

I'm pretty sure that the entire gearset could be swapped into the 2g case. .

If the parts do fit make sure that you read up on how to set the preload on the bearings ,or it will all be for nothing.
