So I just got my shift cables from the dealer....they are 90 shift cables BUT one side is not adjustable and the other side is. My old cables are adjustable on both cables.

Did they send the wrong part?? The sticker on the bag has the correct part number for the 90 cables. Is this correct or what????

Here's the thing...the cables that were in the car have BOTH sides that are adjustable.

I bought 91+ cables off of a friend, since I was told I had a 91 tranny....BOTH sides of that are adjustable. The up/down cable was too long for me to use, which brought me to the conclusion that I did indeed have a 90 tranny.

So, I ordered the 90 cables directly from Mitsu. The part number on the bag is the correct part number. The cables have the red tape around them like my originals do. The 91+ cables I got from my friend have blue tape.

I haven't compared the length of the cables yet because I had to go to work right after picking the new cables up.

But is this a problem that only one side has an adjustment!?

Just in case this ever comes up again and anyone has this question.

I talked with two DSM shops locally and they each said that the cables are now ALL made this way by Mitsubishi. One cable is fixed and one cable is adjustable.

Let's hope that it works....I'm kind of scared because the one cable doesn't have the adjustment :|
