i have a talon esi and my manual tranny wont let me go into 2nd 4th or reverse. i have been searching for hours and all i can find is how to adjust the shift linkage on the 4g63. if anyone knows how to adjust the 420a shift linkage or knows if this is my problem or not please reply i need my car working asap...

Does the car go into all gears while the engine is running vs. not running? If it goes into all gears while the engine is not running, but won't go into 2nd 4th and reverse while running, its not a linkage problem. It is a clutch problem. If its a clutch problem, then most likely you need to just bleed the hydraulic clutch system. Also, a busted fork would prohibit you from going into any gear while the engine is running.

i can get into 1st 3rd 5th when the car is running but when its off I can get in all but reverse.

edit: thanks guys for the help it ended up being the little horse shoe clip that holds the cables in the brackets on the tranny :)
