I wasn't sure where to post this but it kinda has to do with ECU so that's why i picked here. Anyway i am throwing a ECT check engine light. I wanted to test the wires because the sensor is no more then 2 months old. I replaced it in the process of rebuilding my engine. What voltage should be coming from what wire. Before i get asked i am talking about the 2 wire sensor with the green and yellow wires. I know how to ohm it out and i have the specs but not the voltage. I think it would be 12v from one and 0 from the other but just want to make sure. Because some sensors are 5v

1. This is in the wrong forum, that is why no one is answering. This not a tuning or engine management question. It's a Newbie Section question.
2. It doesn't operate off voltage it goes off resistance. Here are your value's across the 2 terminals based on temperature.
32*F - 5100-6500ohms
68*F - 2100-2700ohms
104*F - 900-1300ohm
176* - 260-360ohms
3. Take the time to SEARCH. Notice the picture I attached, it has a thread with your answer in the box!!! These come up right above your thread title when you type it in.
