need help with motor

i have a 1992 TSI FWD talon, 5 spd, rebuilt 6 bolt, freshened up block(cleaned and honed)freshened up stock pistons,new rings, bearings and gaskets, head all stock, besides it was gasket matched ..i have a Turbo XS BOV, open K&N, 3 inch exhaust w/o cat...ok now the problem , im running really dawgy... i have some ideas in mind just wondering if u think itll help a decent amount.....i have a cracked manifold and year old shitty gas in it, plan on gettin 2nd gen or evo manifold and inline fuel filter and new fuel.. just wondering if u think this will fix alot of the problem of bein so dawgy......thanx

fixing the mani will halp but I would drain that old gas because it could clog up your injectors, and cause you to have lots of knock
