Okay i just bought a new Eclipse and the manifold is cracked, but i have a new one ready to put it. The old studs are rusted and the only problem is i can not figure out what size bolts I need, or if I should use the studs that are the right size. Help me!!!:ohdamn: :banghead:

Oh and I did look around online.

You need to use studs from the exhaust mani to the head and bolts/washers from the exhaust mani to the turbo, and in this case anything other than OEM is unacceptable. The bottom center exhaust mani stud plugs an oil port so if you forget to RTV it when installing a new one it might seep oil.

Heres the answer to getting new manifold studs/washers/nuts --->OEM Manifold studs $30 gets you the full set and I believe STM is running a free shipping deal right now.

I believe they are a M10 - 1.0. I picked up an aftermarket manifold which came with m10-1.25 bolts so I re-tapped the holes with little resistance.

...And if you must know the size they are not M10 x 1.0, heres the info on the studs.

Exhaust Manifold to Head

Shaft Diameter x Thread Size (mm) : 8 x 1.25
Length (mm) : 28

NOTE: The 28mm thread length is how far each stud should stick out from the block when torqued to specs (20 ft. lbs.)

O'Reilly's is good for OEM brake pads/rotors/t-stats/gaskets/antifreeze/oil/etc. etc. etc. NOT Mitsubishi specific bolts/nuts/studs or other Mitsu parts. Besides, from my personal experience at O'Reilly's (and many others) half of them don't know what a brake rotor even looks like they just know how to match the part number on your receipt to the part number on a box. :coy:

Can you get those at any auto store or just from that STm website??

You can get them at many vendors on the internet, STM's gonna be the cheapest since they're currently running that free shipping and have them on hand. You could also go to your local Mitsu dealership and pay around $1.50 a stud x (7) studs total would add up quick. You WON'T find these at your local auto parts store, even if you find something similar it won't be the same quality you need to run them. If you do decide the dealerships the way to go the part number for them is MS401452, that way you can price around.

Alright thanks man.

Oh and its cheaper at O'reilly's for the exhaust maniflod gasket and flange gasket. So I think thats the way I will go for those.
