Need help with cv shaft

I was trying to replace the passenger side cv shaft the other day and I got it all taken apart, but I couldn't get the inner part to come out. Is there any kind of trick to it, or just pry the hell out of it?

cant get it out of the trans or the hub ? ya should ask this in the drivetrain forum

The only trick is getting the snap ring that secures the pasenger side axle inside the trans to move that first 0.1". You need to carefully get a prybar between the trans casing and the TJ case and pop it out. I had to bounce a bit on the bar to convince the snap ring to compress and move. Make sure you don't pinch the oil seal.
