need help with coil pack!

i cant find out the reason my cars not starting! my car has spark and fuel but no start! fuses/relay are good! one of my ground wires started to smoke,what does that mean? not enough ground? when iattempt to start it the rpm rises to bout 200 and the stock boost gauge goes to about 3 to 4 lbs.

i found this black wire coming from the harness, any idea what its for? f.y.i. its a 90..

this brother of my friend hooked up my coil pack and i cant stop thinking he hooked it up wrong. anyone see any wires running wrong?

I had the same issue with my 1g the guy before me had cut wires so he rewired it. One of the wires had slipped off/ came apart. Check inside where it is taped up to make sure they are still connected.

Have you checked the timing?

you think it could be the timing? sounds weak. ima check the timing tomorrow. but what about that black wire coming out the harness? any idea?
