I'm trying to replace the coil pack on my car but I'm having trouble taking it out. I was able to remove all four bolts, but taking it out from under the intake manifold is the problem. If I pull it straight out, it'll hit a wall near the belts. If I twist it to go around that wall, it will snag on the intake manifold.

Do I have to remove something else to get to the coil pack? I appreciate in advance instructions or tips you may provide. Thanks.

I replaced my coil pack about 3 months ago and i had the same problem. Do the fuel pressure relief procedure and take out the fuel rail and you will be able to get it out.

is there a thread that explains how this is done or do you need to own a service manual/haynes/chilton manual?

I had to replace mine also but managed to somehow do it without taking off the fuel rail

I believe what i ended up doing is taking the bolts off, rotating it so it was almost backwards and pulling it out. It was still a pain and scraped a little, but i didn't have to deal with the fuel rail :thumb:
