surrey,
i've had my talon now for about 2 years.
recently put many replacemnt parts in it.

here's what's troubling me.

1.) on the coil pack the second coil from the left (corresponding to cylinder 1) was recently replaced because it was not giving spark to the plugs. now that i have replaced it i have fried another one. and i'm on my third one now within the past month and the brand new plug wire keeps on comming off of the coil. just that one coil. always the same one.

2.) my second concern is that when i'm driving my drivers side turn signal works regularly sometimes and at other times the running light goes down and the turn signal blinks at the back at 2x the regular speed. and the front one stops working. just put a new bulb in. still does it

any help would be much appreciated
thanks

The turn signal thing is a built in warning to let you know that you have a bulb out or a short. Check the wiring, sometimes the pins can get corroded and the bulb won't make a good contact.

Most likely spark plug cable 1 or 4 is bad (need both good to complete circuit).

i was also wondering if anyone has bought anything from extremepsi.com and if they are reliable part source

Try testing your power transistor, mine is currently doing the same thing im on my third coil burn out on the driver side and i have new wires and plugs with all properly secured. I tested the continuity on the power transistor and it was off specs, i am currently looking at getting a new PWR TR and a upgraded coil pack if i can find one for good price. Refer to the Power Transistor Check and replacement in a Haynes manual for more specific details.
