Ok I have a 2G AWD and I was thinking of getting 6 Bolt N/T block just incase I want to swap it one day. I have few questions about it. I did read those threads where they tell you how to turbo N/T motors but they dont really cover what I want to know. I know there is a bit differents in N/T blocks and Turbo blocks.
1.The N/T block does not have oil squirters? Are there wholes for them? Could they be installed? Do I really need them with stock turbo pistons?
2.What about knock senser; Is the whole there? Does turbo knock senser bolts right in? If not then what has to be done?
3.Is the crank any different from the turbo one? I heard that there is something on the end where the flywheel goes there is a hump or something that needs to be grind off inorder to use turbo flywheel? Is this any true because thats what I found out in one of the tread where they were talking about converting N/T into Turbo.
4.Other then those three,other then intake cam,is there any other differences? If you know anything from experiance then it would be very good if not then dont post because I know as much as you do. I've been a member for a long time and I have wread a lot of threads just a little confuse thats all. I want to make sure I am not doing a mistake, thats all.
The reason why I am asking is because I can get this car with 6 bolt motor for free. It will be my first time taking the engine apart. So, you can look at this as a learning project but I am really serious about making this motor work. I am also going to school to become an Auto Technition so, I am pretty good at doing things I have never seen in my life. Did the tranny at home and I am very proud of that(with a help of my moms-boyfriend..............what the hell he did everything and I just helped him
