Need some help with 6 bolt rear main seal (PICS)

I was installing the rear main seal into its plate tonight when the little spring got kinked. Can you tell me if this will effect the seal in anyway, would I be able to reuse it or should I get a new one and trash this one? Also on the last pic of the front cover, does anythign belong on that machined part circled in red? I was test fitting my parts and cant think of anything that would go there but the surface is machined and the bolt is larger than the rest of the cover bolts

I would not use the seal. For as cheap as they are I would not chance a bent spring causing uneven pressure around the crank and increase the chance of leaks. And you want to put a bolt in there. I don't know what else other than that the bolt has a 14mm head.

Thanks for your quick reply When I get my new one, would I be able to just swap springs out because I have the rest of the seal perfectly in the plate, or do I have to remove the seal and replace it all?

Just pull the seal out and install a new one. The spring is not intended to be removed, and attempting to do so could lead to damaging it again.

Agreed, replace the entire seal now. Its too cheap and easy to do it now than later.

Also, is that an OEM front cover? If so, did it come w/ the castle plug?

Yes, the front cover is oem but I had to order the castle plug seperate and put it in. I also had to order the o-ring under it, and both oil pump gears seperate.

There is something wrong with the tensioner arm/auto-tensioner since the arm isn't setting in the pin in the auto-tensioner. What block is that?

Thats a 6 bolt block, the reason it isnt sitting straight is the motor mount is only being held in place by the stud on the top right. Its not fully bolted in because I still have to modify it to fit around the 6 bolt water pump. I was just checking that everything fit and I had everything there
