Need help urgently

Hey there i just put on a FMI onto my 96 gst with a few mods but for some reason if i start pushing it and then go into neutral the engine starts to die and half the time will. Anyome got any sugestions?

Is your bov recirculated?

If you dont have a recirculated BOV your car will lope between gears and die/or feel like its dying at idle. Also check your vacuum lines and do a leak down test.

This is more likely than not going to come down to a boost leak. Unless you actually didn't re-circulate your BOV, in that case re-circulate it and stop trying to get cool loud noises.

I would suggest you check all your couples and the gasket betweent the BOV and the flange, at the very least. However, a full boost leak test is in order here.

That is indeed how it would run vented to atmosphere.

The scientific answer dumbed down is this:

If you are still using the stock MAS, which you will notice reads the air coming in from the filter and the BOVs recirculate air is after the MAS, then the computer assumes you are getting the air the MAS is reading and the extra pressure released back into the intake from the BOV and the computer adjusts for that extra air. Then when that air doesn't exist the vehicle is running unnecessarily rich.

So.... you didnt recirculate? If not, sometimes in between shifts it will make the car fall flat on its face. That little bit of extra air isnt going into the system to keep the mixture right, thus causing it to die.

Just cut down a piece of radiator hose or use radiator flex hose.
