Need help please a/f gauge question

hi guys i installed my a/f gauge today on my 4g64 and something might not be right see im not a big fan of 3m scotch locks so i slipped the o2 sensor hot wire and wrapped the gauge wire on it and tapped it up and i got these megan gauges not name brand but i here they work i was told that the white wire is the hot wire and thats the wire to splice into so did i do anything wrong please help

o.k....first off...did you get any instructions with these gauges? Used? New? you spliced into the O2 wire where exactly? I have not got any experience with this exact gauge, I used AC Autotechnics S7 gauges in my car. The instruction sheet was followed to the letter and I had no problems. But that doesn't help you. Try going to VFaq and checking that out and get back to me on what you find out.

i spliced into the hot wire (white wire) this is a 4-wire sensor but i dont know i read the instructions

o.k. now...first off 4 wires are pos and neg of course, and one to splice into the O2 sensor and the last wire is most likely for the dimmer switch so you can dim the gauge with the dash lights. So if you read the instructions you know wish one is which right?

yeah i know what they do its just im having problems with the o2 sensor im just wanting to confirm that you splice into the wire

check out the link Defiant put on the last post, and if that still confuses you, then go check out VFaq. Get back to us when you do both of those things. It will take alittle searching and studying on your part but it will be easier for you to understand most likely. AGAIN...do those things first then get back to us...

so that I didn't have to go through my firewall and directly mess with the o2 sensor, mine works perfect! I think i'm going to take it out though, it's worthless, can't tune any with it, basically it's just a light show
