Hey guys i have a faze a/f ratio gauge i'm installing. I have the illumination hooked up (gauge lighting) but I'm stuck on the other three wires, it's a red wire, green wire, and black wire. The black is obviously a ground wire, the green wire hooks up to the o2 sensor wire

what is the red wire for, and most importantly, where is the o2 sensor wire, is it the female spade connector that has a single wire on the passenger side, beneath the kick panel on the passenger door? I need help fast so I'd appreciate quick responses. Thanks

BTW I have a 91 Talon TSi fwd

Did the gauge come with instructions???

Faze is the cheap ones that autozone and such sells right>?

Id say look around for any wiring guide, they should all be the same.

regardless of the gauge, my main questions pertains to the o2 signal wire. which one is it? the single female spade connector which isn't connected to anything near the passenger door?

hey thanks man ^^ is there a way to hook her up without messing with the ecu though? i thougt on vfaq they showed the wire to splice into, but im not sure if its by the passenger door or not...it looks identical to the one on the vfaq, but it's not near teh ecu, its near teh passenger door under the kick panel...

With mine the red goes to power and black to ground the other for the o2 I ran through the firewall and tapped into the wire comming off the o2. Probably shorter to hook up to the same wire under the dash once you figure out wich one it is now that I think of it but oh well I did that years ago.

thanks man, when you say red to power and black to ground, did you just use a chassis ground and run power to any circuit that is powered when the ignition is on? could i hook them up to my dimmer switch theoretically?

Good question. I want to do the same thing because I failed the state refferee visual inspection because I had it wired to the ecu :notgood:

can anyone help me? please? i would like to get this done asap, but i want to know if i can use that wire on the vfaq, and where besides the ecu i should splice the red and black wires

If this is the same set up I did it is simple. I hooked the red wire to any 12v power source when the car is on, the black (ground) to a metal part of the car and the other wire threw my firewall and spliced it to my four wire o2. I can't remember which wire I spliced it too, but with a 1 in 4 chance im sure you can figure that part out. You can even get a wire tester and connect the wire before having to cut anything.
