I just dropped in a new motor and tried starting it today, it doenst run for longer that 2 seconds. It starts fine, everything sounds good, then like 2 seconds later, it bogs and dies. The vaccum pressure is only at around 10. What are some things i should check? Im goign to do a boost leak test on it tomorrow, but i just want to get some opinions. Im pretty sure the timing is perfect, and the spark plug wires are in the right order. The crank sensor is connected too. When you turn the key, should you hear the fuel pump kick on? When I start it and it dies i can hear the pump working, but isnt it supposed to kick on before i fire the motor? Any suggestions will help me out.

sometimes when you instal an engine and the battery has been disconected the ISC motor resets to its default postion and if the port is dirty aswell as the thottle body it will stall.

pull out the ISC and clean the port and the thottle body. I should run fine after that

how easy is it to bend the valves? when i was putting on the clutch and flywheel i made the mistake of putting a wrench on the cam gears instead of putting a wrench on the crank. when i did this something kept slipping and it jumped timing. The valves were hitting the pistons. is it possible that i bent the valves? I re-timed everything and the valves did not hit the pistons. When i turned the crank when everythign was re-timed it was fine, nothing hit, the valves did not seem to hit the pistons. When i start it now it shakes real bad and then stalls after like 2 seconds. Also the vaccum is even lower now, its between 7 and 10. if the valves were bent, would it shake the motor real bad and cause it to have low vacuum pressure?

You most likely have bent valves, how many teeth did the belt slip? A compression test will reveal bent valves really fast, good luck.

The thing is i didnt even notice the belt slipping on the cam gear. it felt like something was slipping somewhere else. If the valves were still good, the compression should be about 160-170? if they were bent, it would obviously be really low, correct?

You will probably get lower numbers due to the new engine but nothing close to bent valves which most times register zero compression. How much was it off when you re-timed it? If timing was off then it must be the crank sprocket that slipped, which lead me to suspect it was not properly tensioned.

what happens when its not properly tensioned?
You keep asking new questions but yet you have answered none of mine. If the belt was not tensioned proper and it's too loose, the belt will slip especially when you're using it against 90 ft lb.

Did you at anytime turn the crank sprocket, flywheel or cam sprokets Counter Clock Wise?

no, i never turned it counter clock wise. The belt was nice and tight, i double checked the tensioner, i could still slip a allen key through. I just did a compression test and the number were between 170-180. so now im trying to trouble shoot other things.
