Need help!! May have spun bearing!!!

I have a 92 gsx eclipse and I am in Phoenix AZ. I had to go home to Arkansas for a month so I parked me car. It was running absolutely fine when I parked it. I came back and tried to start it and the battery was dead. I charged it and it holds 12.6 volts fine, so we checked to see how many volts was being used trying to start and it was drawing the battery down to 3 volts. We push started the car and when we did it started making this noise from the front of the motor. It sounds like metal spinning together and I think its the main bearing. Idk exactly but I need to find out so I can fix it. Yes the car has good oil and oil pressure and it drives fine so idk what it is. Please help and let me know what you think it might be.

With your description there isnt much we can tell. Your best bet is to drain the oil and see if any shavings come out. maybe it is something dumb.

It could also be the balance shaft bearings gone bad. That knocking sound will travel through the engine and sound like it is coming from different places. Like 97gst1126 said check the oil for the shavings and the oil filter.

The only way to ensure that you did or didn't spin a bearing is to drop the oil pan and look at the bearings. Then you have some positive answer and can start fixing it or troubleshoot some more. You can guess all day be you have to dig in it really find the problem, its the easiest way in the end!
