Hi
Can someone please help me with this. I have Eclipse GS-T year 98 with Unorthodox light weight pulley on since 40K miles. My car is currently 56K miles.
The first belt that the tech changed for me lasts around 20K miles. I was pretty happy with the miles. After 20K miles, it starts the squeeze noise so I went back to to same place and have them change for me.
The new belt didn't last long. It was about 1000 miles then starts to squeeze again so I had the car back to the same place. I was told my these techs said this is the common problem with this car and this will last forever like this. I had them to change the belt again and this belt start to make noise in 1000 miles again.
Seems like these techs right about the noise. But I am curious if you guys have the same problem? I am thinking to change to AEM light weight pulley see if this problem go away. If anyone know anything about this please let me know.
Finally the tech told me if I want to get rid of this problem , I will have to change back to factory pulley.
If anyone has changed their pulley and belt lasts around or more than 20K miles please let me know how you do it.
thanks a lot
