Hey guys, I just bought a turbo off a member here on dsmtuners. I was told it would come with the correct lines, but I'm disappointed to see they have cracks in them, and are sawn off! OMG

If someone could tell me what both of those are it'd be a great help. And where I might get one for cheap? (Possibly make my own or at least fix the one that's cracked).

Here's a pic of the other side, these lines seem good (A little rusted on the end):

And another pic of the bad ones:

Anyone got any advice on this? My search wasn't too fruitful.

The one on the bottom of the turbo is the oil drain tube. The other cut line is one of the coolant lines. It wraps around the turbo and uses a flare nut to bolt to the water pipe along the block.

So by the looks of it I need to buy another oil return line, since the old one was cut.

How about the coolant one, could I slip some hose over it and clamp it or something?

Edit: Will any old line be okay? This one for example.

2nd edit: Just thought of something forehead-smackingly obvious... Can I re-use the lines from the T-25 that I'm replacing the 16g with?

pm ME I just installed a 16g tonite and have my factory T25 lines. They will work with that tdo5 turbo. You pay the shipping and they are yours. Ill even throw in the banjo bolts. I deleted my coolant lines and am running a turbo timer.

JNZtuning in the vendor list sales the new oil feed for $30.00 shipped I just bought one. They also sale the banjo fitting for CORRECTLY running the oil feed from the side of the head. They also sale the OIL RETURN line fairly cheap. I wouldnt use SS ebay lines they tend to leak over time

I also have another 14b complete center section/compressor housing minus the o2 housing for cheap. I was going to use it but opted for a deal on a 16g

So one says they wont fit and another says they will? Or are you saying he ones I have on the 16g are bust and I need to replace those cyclonekid77.

You have a PM rush :) Thanks very much for the help.

Im just saying that the lines on the turbo in the pictures are no good because there cracked, sawed, ect.

Right on, thought you were referring to my point about re-using the old ones :thumb:

Yeah I knew I'd have to replace the sawn one, but I was hoping there may be a cheap fix for the broken one. Guess not! Thanks for your help.

No problem. If the lines from your old turbo are in good shape theres nothing wrong with using them. I would recommend getting some new crush washers just to prevent any leaks. Well worth the couple bucks at the parts store.
